I am currently the Curator of the McKinley Presidential Library & Museum, a position Iīve held since 2001. I have worked at the Rome Historical Society in my hometown of Rome, NY; Wells Fargo Historical Services in San Francisco; and the Senator John Heinz Pittsburgh Regional History Center in Pittsburgh, PA. I was an interpreter at the Erie Canal Village in Rome, NY. I served as Curator of Collections at the Historical Society of Rockland County in New City, NY.
I am the author of three books, Canton: A Journey Through Time, Cantonīs West Lawn Cemetery and Cantonīs Pioneers in Flight. I have also published an exhibition review in The Public Historian, the journal of the National Council for Public History. My work has appeared in The Boston Globe, BellaOnlineīs literary magazine Mused, Aviation History Magazine, and The Repository. The Association for Gravestone Studies recently awarded me the Oakley Certificate of Merit for my interpretive projects at West Lawn Cemetery. I am also an adjunct faculty member at the University of Mount Union in the History Department, and I represent my region in the National Digital Newspaper Program in Ohio.
