Growing up in Tennessee gave me a love of the South. Home has been western Tennessee, Texas, Missouri, California, Virginia, West Virginia and Northern Arizona. However, if you grow up in the South, you always carry the South with you no matter where you live.

I’m so excited to be able to share my view of the Southcentral USA. We’ll talk about all the usual travel stuff--great places to go, where to stay, things to do and food to enjoy when you get there. But, the way I see this beautiful, diverse area is always colored by a desire to learn all I can about the people, the culture, the land and the history. I believe that when we know the background of the places we visit, it adds an extra dimension to our travel.

I am a freelance writer who has the great privilege of writing about the places I love. Please join me as we explore Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Texas and a little bit of Tennessee. Even if you live too far away to actually visit these places in person, I hope you’ll come along and enjoy the journey.
