About the BellaOnline Buddhism Editor

Hello, and welcome to the BellaOnline Buddhism site. I am a meditation teacher, energy worker, writer, and mom to three. I write on spirituality, metaphysics, chakras, women´s energetics, energy healing, meditation, and of course, Buddhism. I began studying Buddhism in college 25 years ago, and have studied with both Vajrayana and Zen teachers, in addition to my academic studies.I am a certified mindfulness meditation teacher and certified as a facilitator in Feeding Your Demons, a practice developed by Lama Tsultrim Allione, and based on Tibetan Buddhist Chod. I also study many different energy healing modalities, and incorporate them all into my own work.

Buddhism is many things to many people. For some, it is an organized religion with houses of worship, priests, rituals, and holidays. For others it is a philosophy, an approach to living that exists apart from any religion. For still others, it is a source of practices and tools for spiritual growth, within or outside of a Buddhist belief system. Over time, I hope to touch on all aspects of Buddhism within this site. If you are new to Buddhism be sure to check out my e-book Introduction to Buddhism and Buddhist Meditation.

I have a special interest in women´s spirituality, and so make a point of featuring many women Buddhist authors, teachers, and biographies on this site.

Outside of this site, my specialty is women´s energetics - chakra and energy body teachings specific to women. I have authored a DailyOm course, Fall in Love With Your Feminine Power, that incorporates many of these teachings. It includes print material, video, and guided audio meditations and is a wonderful way to practice feminine-based teachings drawn from many different traditions, including Buddhism.

I also maintain a blog on meditation, energy healing, chakras, metaphysics, and spirituality at Mommy Mystic. I particularly focus on women´s energetics there, including offering e-books and teleseminars on meditations and techniques for healing and empowering the feminine energy body. I work with sexual trauma and abuse survivors, and offer a free E-book on Healing the Subtle Body Wounds of Sexual Abuse and Trauma.

I maintain an an Amazon.com Store that lists my recommended books on both Buddhism (for adults and kids) and other spiritual traditions. Or, if you are interested in private phone sessions or in-person meditation classes in the south Los Angeles area, check out my schedule at Enlightened Energetics. You can also follow me on Twitter or friend me on Facebook - I´d love to connect.

In Peace,
Lisa
