Hi and thanks for stopping by my bio page! I´ve loved decorating all my life. Whether I was rearranging my bedroom as a kid, painting furniture when I had my first apartment or designing floorplans for every home I´ve owned, it´s always been a part of me.

My goal as the Budget Decor Editor is to share my passion for decorating and to inspire my readers not to settle for ho-hum interiors, but rather to embrace the look & feel they really want for their home!

I realize times are tight and money is not something to throw around. But, I want you to know that you don´t need a ton of money to decorate your home. There are a lot of thrifty alternatives if you have the patience, a DIY attitude and a can-do approach.

Most of the furniture in my home has been bought through deep discounted sales or found at antique shops, yard sales and even Good Will. Were they always in the best of shape? No, but with a little creative ingenuity, I made them perfect for our family. I have a dresser I found on the curb that, with a fresh coat of paint and a few embellishments, is now a gorgeous and romantic piece in my bedroom. My family has painted walls, installed laminate flooring and remodeled rooms ourselves to make our home a reflection of us. That´s on one income and a very limited budget.

Whether your decorating budget is big or small or even non-existent, there´s a way to makeover your home into a personalized, welcoming space that you´ll absolutely love! Sometimes just rearranging your furniture can make a difference in how your home feels.
