Julie Baumler has worked in many different areas of IT - system and network administration, security, systems, application and web programming, and data base administration and in a variety of industries since the early 90´s. Although she prefers to work on the technical side, she also has some management experience and education. She not only understands business issues, but finds business and management very interesting. Julie holds multiple industry certifications including GIAC´s GCUX, GSEC, GSLC, and GCIA, ISC2´s CISSP, ISACA´s CISA, Microsoft´s MCSE+Security, 5 different Sun Certifications (Network, Systems, and Security Administrator; Storage Architect, Data Management Engineer), and CompTIA´s Linux+, Security+, and Network+. Julie was previously the Java/JavaScript and Middle Eastern Culture editor for BellaOnline. She is currently employed as a programmer/administrator in the music industry and is doing graduate work in Software Engineering at Stevens Institute of Technology.
