I began this hobby when we were down and out financially and I needed something to give me hope. That mean old mailbox was spitting out bills faster than an ATM machine and I wanted something to change. Now, with sweepstaking, every trip to the mailbox is a walk down fantasy lane and many times I have not been disappointed.
I’m an optimist who believes; if your circumstances are not what you want them to be, find some way to change them.
I am also an author so I have learned how to take rejection, whether that is a rejection from a publisher or not winning a contest. I forget yesterday and look towards tomorrow as a new opportunity.
I have raised two wonderful children and been married for 36 years. Will I ever quit entering sweepstakes? I don’t think so. My motto is if you don’t enter, you can’t possible win. As long as there are sweeps going on, you’ll find at least one entry in them with my name on it.
So all in all, I have already been successful at the most important things in life. If I never win another contest, I am already a winner at life!
