Root music digs deep into the soul of life´s culture. It encompass a variety of genres including American Folk, Folk Rock, Celtic, Bluegrass, Old Tyme, Acoustic, Singer Songwriters, Cajun and Zydeco to name a few. While musicologists and traditionalists try to bring definition to these genres, music of any type must breath to live and to breath is to change and grow.

Music centers me and has been at the core of my journey most of my life. However, in the last 10 years, Root music has become a central passion. I have been attending events and writing about the music for more than 5 years. My goal is to bring you with me on my journey of discovery. There is such a large world of incredible and virtuosic musicians to discover. Most of whom in this genre are not featured in commercial radio. Nevertheless, these musicians are setting new standard for their instruments and stretching beyond the traditions. Perhaps through my words, I might be able to introduce to new experiences and spark an interest in some phenomenal music.
