Morley Seaver lives and breathes music. He began collecting records when he was 7 or 8 and has amassed a huge collection of recordings in a variety of formats. He took piano lessons for several years, expanding the scope of musical interests greatly. Seaver spent the early part of his 20s managing record stores in his adopted home of Ottawa. There he was exposed to a cornucopia of sounds and styles, from reggae to Brit-pop.

Seaver began writing about music over 15 years ago and his reviews column ran in several newspapers for many years. Today he writes for several music publications and his reviews and interviews can be found on many websites. He brings his considerable musical knowledge to the BellaOnline team where he is the new Heavy Metal / Hard Rock editor.

Seaver knows Metal intimately, ranging from the genre’s roots like Blue Cheer, The Troggs and the blues foundations that helped form the material of many of the ‘60s pioneers, to today’s stars. He’ll help you get to know some of his favorite bands such as: Cradle of Filth, My Ruin, Crisis, Slipknot, KISS, and DevilDriver, as well as report on the goings on of newer bands and trailblazers such as Purple, Sabbath and Zeppelin.
