Dale Y the Maintenance Guy has been involved in household DIY projects, home improvement and house maintenance for over 25 years. He has been an entrepreneur of his own business, has consulted with various realty organizations, home and apartment reclamation projects, and facility management firms about setting up and maintaining a viable maintenance budget and maintenance crew, and has also been involved with many home building and home repair projects. In the early 90´s he was the property manager for a subsidiary of the Girl Scouts, USA, and ran a working camp updating buildings and lodges to modern specifications with new electronics, plumbing and various other hardware. In this capacity, he also took the camp on the ´green´ path, substituting chemical and noxious products, such as insect and plant sprays, for biodegradable and organic substances. During the new millennium, he began to concentrate more on teaching and the written word, becoming nationally known as Dale Y the Maintenance Guy and ´The Green Guy´. He resides in a small town in western Wisconsin, among the trees, hills and the valleys of the area.
