An English major and graduate of Dartmouth College, I’ve been a professional journalist for more than 15 years, having published articles in dozens of national and local magazines, newspapers and newsletters. I’ve covered topics ranging from toilet training, organic farming and skiing to business, buffalo and balancing work and family, but one subject I always return to in my writing is travel.
I regularly visit the East and West coasts from my land-locked state of Colorado. Hawaii and Mexico are other favorite sun-and-sand destinations. My husband and I try as often as possible to spend romantic weekends away from everyday responsibilities at home -- which include raising two young children.
