About the BellaOnline Horses Editor

As a matter of introduction I have been involved, in some capacity, with horses for most of my life. 4-H as a young teen, Combined Training for over a decade and most recently, for the last fourteen years, I have dedicated myself to learning and experiencing all I can with regard to Classical Riding and Equine Stewardship.

Wishing to share the many wonders I have discovered with almost anyone willing (or not) to listen I began to explore venues other than hands-on teaching as a way to do just that. Most of us that endeavor to improve our riding are quite intimate with the arduous struggle to create and re-create those rare and fleeting moments of perfection. We spend hours and hours in the saddle distorting our bodies and warping our priorities only to face our open-mouthed and concerned friends and loved ones as we try to explain, yet again, that no matter the obvious frustration, pain and sweat…riding is truly wonderful. Sound all too familiar?

I am very excited to have found BellaOnline as a way to connect to others with similar interests as well as those looking to expand their equine knowledge base. So grab a cup’a something and settle into your favorite chair. Nice and comfy? Good but enough of that – when was learning to ride ever that easy? Just kidding but if you’re ready I invite you to travel with me down the road to humility, aching muscles and mostly an incredibly enriched life all thanks to our four-legged companions.

Thanks and see ya ´round the barnyard
