To some people that sounds ridiculous, but I´ve met many envious women. I´ve been fortunate to find my calling relatively early on in life. I recently earned my Bachelor´s of Science Degree in Horticulture from Michigan State University and I couldn´t be more proud.
I have worked in both research and retail and I enjoy them both equally. Research provides the opportunity to learn more about new and interesting plants and retail is the outlet in which to share what you´ve learned with others who are just as excited about it as you are.
I´m also a (relatively) newlywed. My husband and I were married on March 4th 2008 in fabulous Las Vegas. We just welcomed our first child into the world on June 5th 2009. It is difficult and interesting being a new mom, but my son is the apple of my eye; I feel like I´ve got it all!
My hope here is to help other women enjoy growing houseplants as much as I do. When problems arise, it can be really frustrating; the more you know about caring for plants, the easier and more enjoyable it gets. I think growing plants should always be a fun, satisfying hobby and I intend to spread the love.
