Edie Dykeman is an avid reader and writer currently living in mid-Michigan. She is excited about the opportunity to get to know other mystery fans, and looks forward to interacting with other readers visiting the Mystery Books site, both in the forum and during chats.
Her reading preferences include mysteries, suspense thrillers, inspirational romances, and westerns. She reviews books for a website, and is known for losing sleep when buried in a good book.
She became hooked on mysteries as a young girl reading the Nancy Drew mystery series. She quickly moved on to John D. McDonald and the Travis McGee series, and later continued with an eclectic array of authors including Agatha Christie, Sue Grafton, Catherine Coulter, Tony Hillerman, and more.
Edie loves to blog on a variety of topics. She has written three inspirational romance novels, although she has not yet submitted any manuscripts. Her next challenge is to write the great American mystery novel.
Her goals for this site are to encourage women to take time out of their busy week to read, promote interaction among visitors and make new friends, and participate in open dialogue with those who share an interest in the wonderful world of mystery books.
