Maribeth Lysen is a mixed media artist, poet, and event planner. She lives in a tiny brick 1950´s rambler in a funky neighborhood with a studio in the back room, overlooking a creek. She loves to experiment with different mediums and often has several projects going at once. She uses a variety of painiting mediums, images, text, fabric, and whatever else she can get her hands on when working on a piece. She loves to create her own ephemera and alter items, pushing the boundaries and techniques to create something new.

Maribeth holds an MFA in writing from Spalding University and her poetry has been published in the Louisville Review, George Town Review, Mad Poets, and Poems Memoir Story. She loves to mix words in with her artwork and blur the line between art and story.
