Several years later her husband’s work too her to Saudi Arabia. In Saudi Arabia Meg was the director of a nursery at the American School; the nursery was for the teachers’ children. She also was the director and lead teacher at a well known international preschool. For security reasons Meg left that position and worked in a cultural museum at Saudi Aramco, one of the world’s largest oil companies. While working at the museum Meg designed the coloring and activity booklet for one of the largest attended exhibits. She also led school groups and scouts through the various exhibits teaching them about the history of Saudi Arabia and the life of the Bedouins.
After a few years of working at the museum a parent of one of her former preschool students approached her and asked for her advice and help in opening a preschool and after school activity center in the nearby town. This school was attended by a diverse group of students and was so successful after one year it had to move to a larger location.
Meg is currently living in Amman, Jordan where she is doing private consulting for local preschools and families. She writes a column about etiquette for children for a local magazine. Her main focus these days is being the president of the American Women of Amman and she spends a great deal of time visiting refugee camps and centers where there are children in need, trying to find ways to make their lives easier.
