As a lifelong lover of winter, Carol has spent her entire adult life making sure she gets enough time off to play in it as much as possible. Her passion since childhood has been skiing. She has competed in alpine skiing, cross-country skate skiing, speed skiing and randonnee skiing. She has also enjoyed snowboarding and telemarking.

Carol shared her love of skiing with others and was a ski instructor for 10 years. She now works part time on ski patrol at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, in addition to two other part time jobs. Her schedule allows her time for her biggest passion, backcountry skiing.

Carol still competes in randonnee racing, and last year she placed first in the USSMA North American Championships.
