Project : Scrap-O-Dex March Divider
Guest Author - Sandy Laipply

Time to do our March Scrap-O-Dex divider card, since it’s almost April! Where did this month go? We were very busy, with my oldest son’s wedding, my youngest son’s birthday, my Father in-law’s birthday and Easter all in the same 30 days. Haven’t even had time to see if my crocuses are coming up!

Here’s the divider card I made for March.

Since St. Patrick’s Day is also in March, and I’m Irish, I decided to use green – even though St. Paddy’s Day got overlooked this year at our house. March also has the first official day of Sdpring, so I wanted to use flowers and butterflies – especially since we had several inches of snow and sub-freezing temperatures most of the month!

To make this divider card you will need:
Scrap_O-Dex divider card
Green striped paper ( Daisy Bucket Designs, Sweet Marabella collection)
Sticklers Outline Stickers Kits 00123, and 00124 (Sakura)
Souffle pens –58462 pink ( Sakura)
Gold Marker
Black Gel Pen 38495 (Sakura)
Scrap cardstock, white and lavender
Glue dots
Scissors
Pencil
Ruler
2” Circle template or small jar
X-acto knife

1.Carefully place one large butterfly and 2 smaller butterflies from the outline stickers on the white cardstock. I find it easiest to use the tip of the X-acto knife to pick up, move and reposition the stickers.
2. Use the soufflé pens to color in as shown, or use your own favorite colors. Set aside to dry.
3.Cover the divider card with the green striped paper.
4. Carefully place the floral corner design stickers in the upper right and lower left corners of the divider card. Color the leaves green, the flowers lavender and the flower centers black. Save the remaining stickers for other projects.
5. Draw a 2” circle around the large butterfly sticker and cut it out. Adhere this to a scrap of lavender cardstock and cut out it out, leaving a 1/8” border. Adhere this slightly off center on the divider card with dimensional glue dots.
6. Cut out the butterflies as close to the stickers as possible. If desired, cut off the antennae and draw them back on later. Adhere to divider card as shown with regular glue dots.
7. Use the black gel pen to add antennae to the small butterflies and to write the word March on the tab of the divider card.

Here are the cards I made for my son Jason’s Wedding and my son Judson’s birthday.
