IWantJam.com – Connecting Music Globally

Guest Author - Danielle Crowe

IWantJam.com is an innovative music site that connects bands, musicians and fans alike through the use of social media, live concert streams and recorded videos. IWantJam allows you to enjoy your favourite band’s concerts from the comfort of your own home.

As a unique global network, IWantJam is soon to become an essential music platform for musicians and music lovers. Developed by brothers Moataz El-Gohary and Moe Gohary, the idea spurned from their own personal music troubles. Born and raised in Cairo, the brothers grew up playing music in an area where Arabic pop is the main genre. Soon realizing the trouble of breaking out and getting their personal music heard, the two men decided that they were going to take matters into their own hands and invent a website that allowed them to connect to fellow musicians and fans from all over the world, as well as help out the bands who are having the same trouble as them - the trouble of breaking out and getting their individual sound heard.

With the help of IWantJam, new bands and musicians are able to have their performances watched live by a global fan base. This unique development in technology not only allows musicians to have their music seen and heard, but it can help expand their fans and increase their popularity much faster than the use of traditional methods. IWantJam also allows fans to sit in the comfort of their homes and still get to watch their favourite bands, discover new musical talent, and also save money on travelling fees. Viewers are also able to send immediate feedback to every musician – which can highly benefit each new act by learning the pros and cons of their performances and recordings.

Each artist and band also has the opportunity and advantage to promote their upcoming events as well as highlight the “where” and “when” of each performance. Without the need of any third party involvement, each musician is able to organize, promote and receive feedback – something that is crucial in the development and exposure of new artists.

IWantJam.com is currently looking for new bands and musicians to become “IWantJam Endorsed Musicians,” this means a large amount of exposure through both the site and network for the lucky chosen talents. They are looking for musicians and bands of all types and genres, so don’t hesitate to send in your information if you think this is an opportunity that is right for you. Also, if you are simply a music enthusiast (like me!) you can sign up to become a beta-tester. This is someone who receives updates and provides feedback in order to help improve the site as they continue to develop the program. I’ve already submitted my email and I can’t wait to hear the latest news.

For more information, check out http://www.iwantjam.com – I have a feeling this is going to be a big advantage for musicians and bands in the near future; are you ready?
