Simple Pleasures of the Garden is a charming little book filled with stories, crafts and recipes that brought joy to the gardeners who created them. A recipe for fresh herb salad is next to a story about volunteer vegetables. This charming disorder makes reading the book an adventure, since you never know what you are going to see when you turn the page.

Some of my favorites are recipes for mint foot scrub, old fashioned mustard pickles and lemon tea bread.

This book is another wonderful addition to tuck into a garden themed gift basket. Simple Pleasures of the Garden is filled with so many treasures that it will find a permanent place on my shelves.
