Hair Style Transformation - From High School to College

This young lady is not only going Back to School - college, but also to work. Our primary mission in this makeover is to take her out of her high school hair into a sophisticated look suitable for campus and career.

Shanna had been out of high school for almost a year but was still clinging to the overly simple school girl style. Although she is an attractive young lady, the long, all-one-length hair style detracted rather than accentuate her natural beauty. In addition, Shanna's attempts a home hair color left her with an unattractive blondish-red shade that gave her complexion a washed out look.
We approached Lisa Phillips of Elegant Styles Salon in Fort Wayne, IN for expert advice and care.

The first item on the agenda was to tone Shanna's hair color to a richer, deep auburn shade that brought out the natural color in her complexion and made her eyes sparkle. This was accomplished with Shades EQ, a haircolor glosser that imparts an even haircolor with lots of shine.

Shanna was fond of her long hair so Lisa trimmed it into a more flattering length and shape. By adding long layers, Lisa allowed for more fullness and caused the lower half to lay closer to Shanna's neck. Face framing layers were added for softness and the style was finished by blowing it dry with a large round brush. Lisa scrunched pomade into the ends to get rid of any hint of frizz and for separation.

As you can see, Shanna's new look is updated and sophisticated. A hair style that is feminine, and stylish, portraying the confident young woman that she is.
