Jewelry Days

Guest Author - Tamira Williams

Clothing styles can go from one extreme to the other according to the seasons or influences of the designer but jewelry no matter the kind has the potential to transcend time and add to your personal style in ways you could only imagine.

Great tops like the scoop neck deserve great jewelry and what’s better than a long thin necklace that you can wrap twice around your neck creating the illusions of two separate necklaces, one long and one short, draping down the front of the shirt complimented by a great pair of big earrings. Don’t be afraid to mix large and small together to create an awesome contrast.

V-neck shirts are awesome, besides bringing attention to girls the V-neck is easily complimented by sleek and simple Y-necklaces with dainty earrings and bangles that represent fun and fashion. The Turtleneck however will allow you to go above and beyond your fashion calling, so feel free to bring out the “Big” in your jewelry arsenal. Big rings, big earrings and big pendants topped off with big necklaces that rest above your chest. This will help break up the monotony a turtleneck can bring.

Now what’s better than going strapless? I would have to say how about long thin necklaces with a great pair of studs and a set of multiple thin bangles. This will be great because it will bring real attention to the sexiness of your collarbones. Collared shirts and jackets are a little bit tricky the key is draw attention to your face so think chunky or layered style jewelry will make things pop.

Jewelry is fun, funky, and fabulous and has very few rules associated with it but that doesn’t mean there are no rules at all. The biggest rule of all is to never wear more than 5 pieces at a time anything more and you cheapen the look of everything you have on. Another biggie would be to make sure you have all of the following in your jewelry box:

1. Oversized earrings
2. Short dangles style earrings
3. Large cocktail rings
4. Short necklaces
5. Bangles
6. Short and chunky necklaces
7. Pendant style necklaces

Jewelry is and has always been the stylish women’s go to it has the potential to make drab fab and enhance any and every outfit you put on, even jeans and a tee. So next time you think your outfit is missing that little something take a look in your jewelry box and bring out the sexy in your style.

Always Keep it Simple and Sexy
