In Love with Ombre

Fashion should always be flirty and fun and I can't imagine a better style to have fun with then Ombre. This trend is great because it allows femininity without being too floral and because of its color combos it can transition from spring to summer with ease.

Now for some the question would be what is Ombre? Well Ombre is a French term that simply means shading. This color fading technique allows for subtle color changes to go from dark to light or light to dark, providing the wearer with a soft color flow that will invite the use of colorful accessories. Anything can be a part of the Ombre movement including purses, shoes, T-shirts and skirts, giving women from every genre an opportunity to express themselves.

Now this is definitely a style that you can easily go overboard with and end up looking a bit like a bag of skittles. The easy way to go Ombre is to pick one item such as a skirt and match it with a solid top so as not to over do it. This way you still have the option to use an Ombre style purse or shoes but please not both this would be an example of over doing it.

Ombre styles are perfect for work, evening or play. They present the perfect amount of contrast and best of all the look expensive but they don't break the bank (does it get any better). Shopping at several different department stores I found the prices to range from $15 for a long boho skirt to $376 for a sleek cocktail dress and ever price in between. So this is truly a style everyone can afford.

In many ways this trend reminds us of its distant cousin "tie dying". The Ombre is however a much more sensual graduation of color that it manages to attract attention instead of demanding it like the tie-dye styles of the past.

So many times we are faced with the prospect of simply going to the mall or boutique with nothing specific in mind to purchase but this time when you go why not search for Ombre, it's a perfect fit for this time of year and be sure to make use of your accessory arsenal, your Ombre will welcome the company.

Always Keep it Simple and Sexy.
