Here are a few photos of the Great Black-Backed Gull. This is the largest of the gulls and has very dark wings, plus pale legs and a red spot on its beak. Juvenile birds are brown and white.
This bird is found all along the east coast of the US, as well as in a few locations inland. These photos were taken in Connecticut.
