Who does not love to receive mail? I have always loved to send post cards but I enjoyed receiving them more. When someone is on a trip and they take a few minutes out of the fun they are having to share a few words about their adventure it makes me happy.
For a while post cards were not only for travelers but for anyone who lived a distant from those they loved. I used to live three hours away from my family and friends but sent out post cards every week with images from the local or funny images. Postcards used to be pretty inexpensive too ranging from 50 cents to two dollars.
The frugal person in me used to make some out of old stationary cards by cutting the beautiful pictures off the front and drawing my own details on the back.
These days the internet has not only made it cheaper, it has made it even more convenient (and environmentally friendly) to send via electronic postcard. Electronic post cards are a great way to stay in touch with friends and family too. Like real post cards they are designed with a short message and a fun or amusing image.
BellaOnline has a simple but extensive post card selection personalized by BellaOnline Editors for each of their sites. Following suit, I have created a set of post cards for the Large & Lovely site readers. If you have any ideas for Large & Lovely post cards please email me as I am always open to suggestions.
In the meantime, feel free to send them to your friends and family along with a personalized note from you. You can even choose some funky music or not to go along with the card.
