New Artist Spotlight

Fervent Records has signed a new girl band that is offering a fresh taste of rocking for Christ. Made up of three sisters who write, sing and play their own music, BarlowGirl has put the passion into christian rock that it really needs.

The talent of these three ladies, Alyssa, Lauren and Becca Barlow is undeniable. This chick band can definately rock with the best of them. Their new self-titled debut, set to release in Feburary, is filled with songs that not only offer the hard rock sound that we love but also give us the lyrical content of what it means to love and worship God.

Although the project is filled with hard hitting and fast paced rock-out songs the ladies show deversity by having a few soft ballads on the CD. My favorite of the CD Never Alone provides that voice to the thought that we sometimes feel that God is not answering our prayers. BarlowGirl assures us that he is there and we are never alone. Best yet...these girls can sing!

If you like the flavor of Creed, Third Day and DC Talk you will love BarlowGirl! There has been a need for girl bands in the Christian rock scene for some time and I think BarlowGirl has filled that void.
