How To Raise Swans - Book Review

How To Raise Swans - Book Review
Swans are considered by some to be the most beautiful of all waterfowl. All over the world, there are about seven different species. The most common in North America is the mute swan. These are very large birds weighing up to 40 pounds. But this doesn't keep them from reaching speeds of up to 55 mph.

Males are known as a cob, a female is a pen, and the young are called cygnets. Swans are creatures of habit, often mating for life and breeding in the same place year after year.

Swans are truly beautiful and magnificent creatures. Have you ever wanted to raise swans? I often thought that raising swans would be an exciting hobby. But there are so many questions before beginning. You would need to know about mating, hatching eggs, behavior of swans, and especially where to buy them.

I've found this great resource that I wanted to share with everyone. The book is called How to Raise Swans.

Learn little known facts such as:

  • Swans are highly intelligent and have a great memory especially as to who has been nice to them and who hasn't.

  • Swans dislike loud noises and perceive them as a threat.

  • You should never bring a dog near a swan as they are afraid of them.
