Whether you are a resident or just stopping by for a visit, Atlanta, Georgia is filled with tons of cultural and entertaining things for the whole family. Here are just a few great ideas:

*Visit the Martin Luther King Jr. Historic site - Visit Site

The Historic site includes a number of facilities that are operated by the National Park Service, Ebenezer Baptist Church and the King Center. Also during your visit you can sign up for a tour of the birthplace of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. *Note: Tours fill up quickly, especially on weekends, so be sure to get there early!

*Talk a walk at Atlantic Station - Visit site

Atlantic Station is filled with tons of shops and restaurants however you don’t have to spend a dime. Take a day to just walk through, enjoy the sights and even window shop! It feels like a little city within the city. There is also a free shuttle from the Arts Center MARTA Station.

*Visit Centennial Olympic Park - Visit site

There is plenty to do at Centennial Olympic Park year-round. Centennial Park was home to the 1996 Olympic games. The park sponsors community-wide free events as well as many festivals throughout the year. If you decide to visit, make sure you stop by to see the Fountain of Rings show. Fountain of Rings is a totally free water show where the water “dances” to the music. It plays four times a day, 365 days a year, at 12:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. Centennial Park also hosts “Wednesday WindDown” which is Atlanta’s longest running free concert series from April - September.

*Stop by Piedmont Park - Visit site

Future home of the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, Piedmont Park always has something going on . It is open daily from 6:00 am until 11:00 pm. There are two nice-sized parks that will keep your little ones busy. If you are a fitness enthusiast, there are walking and jogging paths as well as a few tennis courts. If you are a dog owner, there is also a dog-park so you can bring your best buddy with you!

*Visit the AT&T Telephone Museum - Visit site

The AT&T Telephone museum is run completely by retired employees of AT&T who volunteer. There are many interesting exhibits and photographs that trace the history of the telephone.
