Twin Birthday Ideas!

Twin Birthday Ideas!
As a parent, you want to make sure that your child’s first birthday is one to remember. As a parent of twins, you want to be able to make it twice as magical! The problem is that once you start looking around for twin birthday themes, you find that there really aren’t many out there. How many times can you possibly use the “Peas in a Pod”, right? Being creative is must! Here are a couple of ideas for your twins' first birthday:

Cupcakes! I saw a couple of themes out there with cupcakes and the number "one." Let’s use that to our advantage. Get all the supplies for that theme, and make the cake stand out! Ask the baker to make a cake with the number one on it but to incorporate cupcakes that can be easily detached so that your twins have their own candle to blow out!
Do the kids like Elmo? Cookie Monster? Get both! Adding two different party themes in not a bad idea if you’re looking for something that the babies might actually be interested in. Together they form a Sesame Street Birthday Party!!
Minnie Mouse/Mickey Mouse are both available for boy/girl twins; just mix and match them and have the baker put both on the cake!
Got Bugs? You sure do, two in fact. Get the lady bug theme and get two small cakes designed as two separate lady bugs. I have noticed that some lady bug themed birthday accessories come in both pink and purple.
If your creativity leans more to the subtle side, you might want to try combining two colors instead of two themes. What about the cake? Get a crayon cake that matches the colors! If you speak to your baker he/she might find a creative way of making two crayons so that each child can have their own!

Keep in mind that it’s always nice to make sure that each baby has his or her own celebration. I make it a point to sing Happy Birthday to each one instead of combing their names in one song. It means so much to them to have those lyrics sung individually! You might want to also keep in mind that although first birthdays only come once it really isn't one that they will totally remember! The party is about them; if you don’t invite all the neighbors or Great Uncle Charlie, it really doesn’t matter
