Learn Spanish vocabulary online

There are quite a lot of Spanish vocabulary resources on the net.

You may already know that learning a new language implies grammar, of course, but it would also be a good idea if you could also start learning new words. So, here is a list of free Spanish language vocabulary I have found on the internet. The ideal method would be learning one or more new words per day, but no need to say this depends on the free time you have, among other reasons. The best thing about all the sites below is that you don't have to pay for the information, it is totally free, so try them and chose the one you find more interesting.

Spanish Word-a-Day
Its main page includes 1 new Spanish word every day. You can listen to the word's pronunciation by clicking on the sound icon. Includes translation, synonyms and a sentence, to know how to use the word. And... there are also jokes! One joke/day, with translation included. You can subscribe to their free newsletter, so you can receive Spanish words on your mail. They offer a PLUS club ($29.99/year).
Dictionary.com Spanish Word of the Day
Powered by Collins, this site includes a word a days, similar to the last one (Spanish Word-a-day), but doesn't offer the pronunciation option. They list the translation of the word, explanation on how to use the word, and some examples -sentences- so that you can figure out how to use the word in context. Option to receive free newsletter for free.
Transparent.com - Spanish Word of the Day
Nice look. You get the Spanish word, you can also listen to it, and read its translation. Includes a sentence in Spanish (which you can also listen to) and the corresponding tanslation. Includes free newsletter, so that you can receive new words by e-mail.
SpanishDict.com - Spanish Word of the Day
You can either browse words by day or at random. Whenever you click on a word, it takes you to a new page where you can listen to it, read its English translation and some examples. But, if you click on that word again, it takes you to the dictionary where you can watch the video. Includes free newsletter and app for iPhone.
123Teachme - Spanish Word of the Day
Includes 2 different words of the day. The first one, English translation and examples. If you scroll down, you'll find a new one including sound.

As a complement, you maybe interested in The Big Red Book of Spanish Vocabulary: 30,000 Words Including Cognates, Roots, and Suffixes (Big Book of Verbs Series)

These sites are just some examples, as there are more on the internet. So, here's a tooll to can find useful if you want to learn more Spanish vocabulary. Enjoy!
