A Hard Man is Good to Find - a ReviewA Hard Man is Good to Find, written by James W. Lewis, is an erotic tale that starts out as a comedy, but morphs into a sweet romance. The story is told through the eyes of Michelle, a single young woman looking for Mr. Right. The author writes so convincingly through the eyes of a woman that maybe he was a female in a previous life? The way Michelle talks was a bit hard for this Kentucky lady to understand at first, but it didn't take me long to catch on. According to the author, Michelle's style of speech is known as 'girlfriend' talk and slang. He said that some black women talk this way after a few drinks when they are relaxed and having a conversation with some really close friends. Michelle's journey to finding Mr. Right is hilarious. Each Mr. Wrong she encounters has issues that she understandably doesn't want to deal with. I thought the entire book was going to be about the various men that Michelle encounters and how they were all wrong for her, but as I read on I found that the story had depth and a deeper meaning. When Michelle meets a man who doesn't immediately throw her down and rip her clothes off, she thinks something is wrong with him. This man isn't giving her all she is looking for in a relationship, but he is so sweet to her. She thinks he must have some kind of problem that he is uncomfortable discussing with her. There has to be some horrible reason he doesn't want to take their relationship to the next level. She is bound and determined to discover his secret. With amazing insight into the ways that most women act, the author shows how easy it is for a woman to become suspicious. His secret? Well, I'm not going to tell you that. I will say that you need to be careful what you wish for because you might just get it. Do you like for your books to have eroticism, romance, and comedy all wrapped into a neat package? If so, then you will love this book. If you don't appreciate erotic fiction, then you probably should stay away from this one. A PDF copy of this book was sent to me free of charge by the author.
