What’s better than a fabulous, romantic honeymoon? A fabulous, romantic honeymoon that you didn’t pay for!
With online honeymoon registries, you can book your dream vacation, and then your friends and family can conveniently help you pay for it, either by giving general cash donations to the honeymoon fund, or signing up to treat you to fun services and amenities, like massages, sunset cruises, golf games and much more. Check out these new honeymoon registry services:
Disney Honeymoon Registry
This winter, Disney launched its new honeymoon registry. Here’s how it works: After you book your honeymoon vacation at a Walt Disney World resort hotel, on a Disney Cruise Ship or at a Disney Vacation Club Resort, you can create a Honeymoon Registry for free online. Browse the web site’s wish list and select various products—from theme park tickets to dining vouchers to Mickey Mouse merchandise. You’ll then get a Disney Gift Card containing the gifted money that you can use to pay for any and all Disney-related honeymoon expenses.
Outrigger Hotels & Resorts
Couples who have booked a honeymoon at any Outrigger or Ohana Resorts & Hotels property can now create an online wedding registry powered by TheBigDay.com. If you haven’t yet booked an Outrigger honeymoon, and choose to do so through Pleasant Holidays, a travel agency partner, you get reduced service fees charged on gifts from your registry.
There is no fee to sign up for the registry service, which includes a free wedding webpage, free wedding webpage announcement cards, and a free email account for organizing their wedding-related correspondence. Guests can help pay for accommodations or fun activities like helicopter tours, snorkel trip, kayak rentals and more.
Outrigger has romantic accommodations on the islands of Hawaii, Guam, Tahiti, Fiji and Bali. Ohana hotels are on Oahu and Guam.
The Inn at Robert’s Grove
This luxury property on Belize is the country’s only resort to launch an online gift registry. Like the registries mentioned above, friends and family members can purchase specific gift services and items through the registry that enhance the couple’s honeymoon, including a day of scuba diving, rainforest tours and manatee watching in the mangroves. Spa treatments, welcome baskets and gourmet dining can also pamper honeymooners.
All-inclusive, 9-day wedding/honeymoon packages start at about $3,000 per person at this 52-room property in Placencia, Belize. Spacious, air-conditioned hacienda-style accommodations are beachfront or beach view and have private terraces. Play tennis, work out at the on-site gym, or frolic in the ocean with complimentary use of canoes, kayaks and windsurfers.
The Inn at Robert's Grove also features three, 50-foot freshwater swimming pools and two private islands that allow honeymooners to have a secluded “swept away” island experience during their stay.
