Blood Faerie - a Review

Blood Faerie is an urban fantasy novel written by author India Drummond. It is the first novel in the Caledonia Fae series.

I downloaded this book free of charge from Amazon on my Kindle. I'm never sure how good the book will be when I obtain it this way. Some of them have been really good, and others I've not been able to finish reading. I'm pleased to say that Blood Faerie is one of the most enjoyable books that I've read.

If you are a fan of urban fantasy/paranormal novels, you will definitely want to read this one and the rest of the books in the Caledonia Fae series.

What is this book about? Eilidh is a fae (fairy) that has been exiled for unjust reasons to the human world. In the world she came from, she was a watcher. Instead of roaming about the human world, she has chosen to remain in Perth, Scotland, and has taken over as watcher of this town. All is well until the murders begin. It isn't a human committing the grisly murders, it is an evil fae.

No one notices Eilidh in the human world. This is fine with her. She is somewhat afraid of the humans and would be content to remain anonymous. But at the scene of the first murder, there is this one cop that does notice her.

Soon she gets to know this cop, Munro, and develops a close friendship with him. Through this cop, her innocence about the ways of the human world begin to fall away, just as the ways of the world Eilidh comes from become more clear and real to him.

Together Eilidh and Munro vow to stop the evil blood faerie from committing more murders and fulfilling his evil purpose. In order to do this, Eilidh needs to learn more about her unique powers. And Munro finds out that he isn't as human as he believes.

Romance is skillfully woven into this story full of action and suspense. Once I started reading the book, I found it extremely hard to stop. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.

If you would like to obtain a copy of this great book for your own library, I have provided an Amazon link for you below.
