Red 2

Frank Moses is enjoying his “normal” life with love Sarah Ross, who desperately wants the adventure that first brought them together. When old friend and fellow operative, Marvin, arrives, the trio finds themselves the target of a massive worldwide hunt while they’re searching for a deadly nuclear device. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Red 2”.

∙ Near the beginning of the movie, when Frank sends Sarah away and tells her she can find him in tools, he turns and asks Marvin “What are you doing here?”. The view from behind Frank when Marvin says “you ignored my messages” shows there are cardboard boxes in front of Frank and a red tool chest to the left of the screen. The scene cuts to a front view of Frank when he says “I am happy” and there is now Tupperware sitting on their boxes in front of him. It cuts to Marvin when he says “you’re desperate” and they’re just passing the red tool box from the first view. When Marvin tells him he hasn’t killed anyone, they’re now passing the Tupperware (again)!

∙ As Frank and Sarah are leaving Marvin’s funeral, the men step out of the black vehicle. It cuts to a front view of Frank and Sarah and he takes her left hand and is holding it in his right hand. The scene cuts to a rear view of them and her left hand is near his shoulder. It goes back to the front view when she asks “who are they” and he’s holding her hand again.

∙ When Marvin, Frank and Katja are about to torture The Frog, Sarah begins to talk to him. When she first approaches him, the front view of her shows his glasses are on his face. Sarah puts her head on his chest when it cuts to a front view of him and his glasses are off. In the next front view of Sarah, when she tells him he has something to live for, the glasses are on and she pushes them off.

∙ CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! Victoria and Han are racing in the Lotus away from the black vehicle when Victoria shoots it. In the close-up of the black vehicle spinning in front of the tractor trailer, the back window flies open. It cuts to a scene of the vehicle crashing and the back window is closed.

∙ CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! After the tractor trailer crashes, Victoria is on the phone with Frank. In the close-up when she says “..we missed him…”, the phone is in her right hand. It cuts to a closer view when she says “where are you” and the phone is in her left hand. It’s in her right hand again she says “please tell me you’re not crashing with weapon of mass destruction” and back to the left when she’s listening to the helicopter go down. It’s in her right hand when she says “oh god”.

“Red 2” (2013) stars Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker, Helen Mirren, Anthony Hopkins, Byung-hun Lee, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Brian Cox and David Thewlis. It runs 116 minutes and is rated PG-13 for pervasive action and violence including frenetic gunplay and for some language and drug materal.
