Fantastic Four

Fantastic Four
When a trip to outer space goes awry, the team of Reed Richards, Sue Storm, Johnny Storm and Ben Grimm find themselves exposed to a source of radiation that leaves them each with different, unusual abilities. But the four must work together to defeat Victor Von Doom, the other member of the team who has other, more sinister plans for his new found abilities. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Fantastic Four”.

∙ Sue is at Reed’s apartment/lab and opens up a drawer to put her clothes in. She picks up the “Memories” book inside. In the back view of Sue, she can be seen opening the front cover of the book. In the very next close-up, she opens the cover again.

∙ Victor visits Sue and tries to convince her to leave Reed’s place. Victor picks up a dark colored, rolled up garment. The scene cuts to Sue and then back to Victor. There is now a lighter piece of clothing wrapped around the original garment that he picked up.

∙ Reed is writing on the blackboard. On the far right side of the board, there is a quick glimpse of a science formula with a line drawn underneath. The scene switches to Victor watching Reed through video monitors and then cuts back to Reed who is writing the formula that was originally on the board which he then underlines!

∙ Ben/Thing stops by a bar and sits on a barstool. The barstool breaks and he crashes to the floor causing his hat to fly off when he falls. When he starts to get up there’s still no hat. It then cuts to a close-up of him standing up and Thing’s hat is back on his head!

∙ CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! Near the end of the movie, the Fantastic Four are battling Doom on the streets when Johnny goes into “supernova”. While Sue is trying to contain the supernova, a close-up shows that her nose begins to bleed. But in the following view of her, there isn’t a trace of blood on her face!

“Fantastic Four” (2005) stars Ioan Gruffudd, Jessica Alba, Chris Evans, Michael Chiklis, Julian McMahon, Kerry Washington and Laurie Holden. It runs 106 minutes and is rated PG-13 for sequences of intense action and some suggestive content.
