The black winged stilt is a long-legged shorebird with ... yes, you guessed it ... black wings. It has a long, pointed beak and long, orange legs.

Known as Himantopus himantopus, the black winged stilt is found in many places around the globe. It wades in shallow water, in any location from ponds, swamps, marshes, and ponds. Their coloring is pretty unique, and their long legs and long beak stand out in a crowd!
