Pandemonium for N-Gage

Pandemonium is a side-scrolling type of game with nice graphics and interesting replayability. Aim for higher scores and faster times!

You can play as a jester male or a thief female, with a very rough plot. Your little gang has caused an evil monster to appear, and you have to go on a quest to make the monster vanish again. Really, the game is about you bouncing, jumping and running your way left to right through a variety of worlds.

The graphics are actually rather nice here, with spooky skull castles in the background, themed environments and a variety of things to grab or jump on. There are boingy watermelons, mushrooms, and you name it along your path. As in all traditional side scrollers, you want to jump in certain areas to get that special gem, or backtrack beneath the path to find the hidden key.

There really aren't many sounds in handheld games, but they're pretty reasonable. The usual boings and splats as you move along and slay monsters.

The game has four levels of difficulty and checkpoints at reasonable spots. It tracks the time, points and percent of treasure, storing the personal bests in each level. This makes the game really replayable. You can go back and try to zip through for the time bonus, gather all the treasure, or do a 'full sweep' to get that elusive 100%. If you think you're doing well, just crank up the difficulty for a true challenge.

Great for passing the time while you're stuck in line or waiting for someone to pick you up!
