Gretchen Wilson - Here for the Party

Gretchen Wilson burst onto the scene with her hit "Redneck Woman" and hasn't stopped yet. If her debut CD "Here for the Party" is any indication, Gretchen is here to have us all party for a long time to come.

As you read her bio after listening to her album, you can see where "Redneck Woman" came from, straight from her life and heart. It's gets your toes to tapping and you can't help but sing along when she wants all the other Redneck women to say Hell Yeah! (You should see the looks I get listening to this song in my truck and start singing along.)

"Here for the Party", the title track and the second single released from Gretchen's debut album is another toe tapper that will have you singing along. It's just a good old, have fun kind of song.

One of my favorite songs on the CD is "Pocahontas Proud." It's about living her dreams and making her hometown proud of her. Not to mention showing the people on music row that said she didn't have it that they were wrong.

There are a few ballads on the CD that show her vocals off and give you an idea that Gretchen is here to stay and make her mark on country music whether they like it or not.
