Free Tatting Shuttles for you to print out and keep!
Guest Author - Gillian Buchanan

Here are some free tatting shuttles I have designed that you can print out and keep. Of course you'll want to buy shuttles as well but you never know when it will be useful to have a spare one immediately to hand without having to go to the shop or order online! You will need some card stock that is suitable for your printer, or you can print out on ordinary paper and glue it onto a piece of card before cutting out - a cereal packet should be just fine.

To print these out the easiest way is to right click on the pictures and click on whatever the mechanism your web browser has for saving pictures to your hard drive. There are so many new browsers that I can't give specific instructions, but in Internet Explorer it's Save Picture As.

If you do not have an image editor from which you can print, start Microsoft Word and go to Insert-Picture-From File. Browse to where your picture is and click on OK. Once the picture appears, press the Return key and repeat for each picture you want to print.

If the shuttles print out at too large a size, you can resize in Word by clicking on the image. A bounding box with little squares on its corners and in the centre of each side will appear. Click on one of the corner nodes and drag inwards towards the centre of the image to resize. If you have an image editor and are printing out directly from that, it will have a built in function for resizing images which you should use.
