here are some tips for using pots in your English garden
Place the larger pots at the back with the smallest at the front. If you have room for alot of pots then try grouping them in a semi-circle for best effect.
To create that feeling of luxuriant growth in an English Garden, try to have at least five pots in a group.
Place your chosen pots in your space before you plant them up to see the best possible combinations – this stops you having to lift heavy pots once they’re planted up.
To make the group look as if they have been there for years and look good all the year round use at least one evergreen shrub (as large as you can manage) perhaps a myrtle or skimma. Use a holly, privet, yew or boxus sempervirens if you want a clipped shape.
Here are some suggestions for plants for pots that will get half a day’s sun and all are easy to grow.
