Save Your Customized Workspace - Photoshop CS

Project Information: • Skill level: Basic • AdobeR PhotoshopR CS • General tips

Photoshop CS is a very versatile program that you can use for such a variety of projects from digital art which is distended for print to graphics meant for the web. As you work on such differing projects, you will want to customize the Photoshop workspace. Depending on the job at hand, you will use certain palettes and settings and others will be hidden. Photoshop has a great feature that allows you to save your customized workspaces so they will be close at hand for future projects. Once you have your workspace set up, follow the steps below to save your settings as a customized workspace.

Step 1. On the Menu bar click Window > Workspace > Save Workspace which will open the Save Workspace dialog box.

Step 2. Give your new customized workspace a name. The name should reflect what it will be used for such as Watercolors or Web.

Step 3. Click OK and the name of your new customized workspace will appear at the bottom of the Workspace submenu. To use this workspace in the future, click Window > Workspace > NameOfYourWorkspace.
