Photoshop has a great feature that allows you to add your favorite custom colors to the Swatches palette. There are two ways to do this. Below are the steps for both. NOTE: If the Swatches palette is not visible, click Window > Swatches on the Menu bar.
First Method Step 1. Set your custom color in the Foreground color box. Step 2. Click on the Swatches palette tab. Step 3. Click on the arrow to expand the Swatches palette menu. Step 4. Choose New Swatch from the menu. This will open the Color Swatch Name dialog box. Step 5. Name your new color swatch and click OK. The new color swatch will appear on the Swatches palette. Second Method Step 1. Set your custom color in the Foreground color box. Step 2. Click on the Swatches palette tab. Step 3. Place your cursor over a blank area on the Swatches palette and it will change to the Paint Bucket tool. Click on the blank area to open the Color Swatch Name dialog box. Step 4.
