NEW BOOK FROM STOMIE OMARTIAN INSPIRES A COMPANION CD
Harvest House Publishers’ new hardcover book by Stormie Omartian titled The Prayer That Changes Everything™: The Hidden Power of Praising God (mid-September release) has inspired a worship CD to accompany the book. Integrity Music will introduce the companion CD on September 14. The Prayer That Changes Everything™: Powerful Songs That Unlock The Hidden Power of Praising God, is produced by Stormie’s husband and Dove/Grammy award-winning producer Michael Omartian and features popular praise & worship music along with several new songs co-written by Stormie and Michael.
Featuring instrumental and vocal music, The Prayer That Changes Everything™: Powerful Songs That Unlock the Hidden Power of Praising God includes both new and currently popular praise and worship songs. Omartian co-wrote three of the tracks with her husband Michael, who also produced this CD. Adding to the family involvement in the record is daughter Amanda who is a featured vocalist on several songs, and son Chris who performed the drum and percussion programming.
Stormie Omartian's is best know for her Power of Praying series, her journey is one that has been riddled with tremendous challenges and pain. She endured childhood physical and emotional abuse, leading to her adult involvement in the occult, drugs, tragic relationships, depression to the point of suicide contemplation, and near divorce from the man she has now been married to for over thirty years. Stormie now shares for the first time, the one prayer that has changed everything for her: the hidden power of praising God. Ultimately, Stormie’s story is a victorious one, which she credits to the power of prayer in her life.
Stormie gives her heart for the project saying “There is a gift hidden within that seems to make praise and worship to be as much for us as it is for Him. I doubt God needs to be reminded of who He is. But God knows we certainly need to be. When I learned to make praising God a priority, it deepened my relationship with the Lord. When I learned to make it a lifestyle, it changed my life. I want to help others experience those same things.”
