If you are looking for something to do in your spare time, try out the super fun game, Words with Friends. This scrabble-like word games is available for download in the Android market and the Apple market. It’s now even available to play online through your Facebook account…best of all…there is a free version!
I have Words with Friends on my Android phone. It’s great to pass the time on lunch breaks, doctor appointments and more. There are tons of different options on what type of game you want to play. You can choose to play a random opponent, you can play a friend that you know (you have to have your friend’s user id for this option), you can even play a local game with a friend and pass the phone back and forth.
The fun doesn’t stop there! If you have a Facebook account, you can automatically link up with all of your friends that have a Words with Friends id. With one click, you can start a new game with any of your Facebook friends that have played Words with Friends before. Also, if you are home, you can log into your Facebook account from your computer and play.
*the game is very fun
*no time limit- play at your convenience
*the free version is ad-supported
*no time limit- as a result games can take weeks to complete
*no real settings feature – you can’t change setting such as alerts
Even with the cons, I absolutely LOVE Words with Friends. I’ve always loved the board game Scrabble and I also like games that make me think. To find the game to download to your phone visit your app market. Type in, “Words with Friends” and download the game right to your cell phone. If you are on your computer and you have a Facebook account, simply log into your account and type in Words with Friends and you will automatically be directed to the game site. Be forewarned, Words with Friends can be addictive!
I’d love to hear your feedback. Visit the forum and share your thoughts on this game or any other free games that you have tried.
