Found-Todd Proctor*

On this new release from the worship leader of Rock Harbor Church in Costa Mesa, California, Todd Proctor delivers the message that being "Found" grounded in the destiny and calling of God is what life is all about. The heart of worship is on full display in this project with each song. The passion and truth of what Proctor feels is given every time he sings. Not only does the title song's lyrics speak of being "known as yours" but all the material on this album seems to be an offering to not only the masses but to God himself. The opening track "Victory" gets you moving right away with the fresh guitar and drum arrangements you can't help but clap your hands and sing along about the "Victory of the Rizen Lamb". Another stand out on the project is the song "In Pursuit" where he is teamed up with the wonderful Crystal Lewis. This song also talks about allowing Jesus to lead us to pursue him. This seems to be the total underlying theme of Found and it appears to me that the message has not been "lost" on me and neither will it be lost on others. Good job Mr. Procter....good job. A Man Can Change His Stars-Mourning September*

This band heralds out of my old stomping grounds...Tulsa, Oklahoma and they put to death the myth that the only thing coming out of OK is a steer. If you are looking for a band that gives you a rocking good time and lyrics with substance then this is the band for you. Opening up with a electrifying guitar presence by Josh Tipton and Tony Chavez on "Closer to Closure" the group sings of time running out and how it is sometimes best to just put a closure to things that are not right in our lives. Great lesson and one delivered with a groove that would makes us all move. Another stand out on this project is the song "Running" which opens with the full majesty and talent of drummer David Walker on display. In fact the staccato percussion on this song is so outstanding that immediately it gives you the sense of someone running during the song. Running from our problems is something all Christians can relate to and Mourning September helps us take a look at this problem. Finally "Tonight Tonight" a song of capturing the moment and holding on to it for all time sums up this project. Once you listen to it you will want to seize the moment for all time.
