Falls Style Trends are Simple, Conservative but Showy, and Heavy on the Prep When I was in school, "preppy" was an unkind adjective used to describe folks who were pampered, snobbish and completely un-streetwise. Decidedly uncool. But this fall it's the up and coming look for fashion jewelry and clothing. While clothing styles will be more conservative, concealing more skin and communicating a more sophisticated image than your run-of-the-mill Britney Spears doll, jewelry styles will be simple, clean, and accented with a touch of drama. To jazz-up the more conservative clothing lines this fall, don't forget to accessorize with bold, 1940s-style brooches, pins, sweater clips, and belt buckles. A quick look at these new fashions begs the question whether eclectic, fringy bead jewelry will remain a must-have this fall and winter.
