An Irishman's Lament
Guest Author - Mary Ellen Sweeney

Some time when you're feeling important.
Some time when your ego's in bloom.
Some time when you're sure that you
are the greatest guy in the room.
Some time when you feel that your passing
will leave an unfillable hole.
Just try this simple experiment,
and see what it does for your soul.
Take a bucket and fill it with water.
Put your hand in up to the wrist.
Take it out, and the hole that remains
is the measure of how you'll be missed.

Jack Sweeney
