Really Good Emails for Inspiration

Really Good Emails for Inspiration
Do you get tired of sending the same old newsletter to your customers? Well, let's take a look at a website that is a great resource for inspiration and learning, Really Good Emails. It has a category-based gallery or showcase of email designs, as well as a blog containing useful information about design and marketing. They even allow their readers to submit email designs for consideration for the gallery.

'Really Good Emails aims to be the best showcase of email design and resources on the web.' This site has over 7000 emails in their gallery. You can spend hours browsing through the gallery for inspiration. They have the usual categories but they also showcase emails from some of your favorite companies, such as Etsy, Creative Market, Chewy and Skillshare. They try to answer the question 'What Makes a Really Good Email'.

With an account/profile, you can use the Collection feature, which is just what it sounds like. You can collect your favorite email examples in to a collection. But it doesn't stop there. These collections are public, so others can enjoy, that is follow, your collection and you can link to your collection from you own website. But they also have the over-used 'likes' and 'alerts' features. We all know how they work.

If you click on an email from the gallery, you are taken to a new page containing a larger image of the complete email and detailed information about the email and the company behind the email. Powered by Litmus.com, you can check out previews of how the email looks in different devices and how the email fairs in an accessibility test. Another third-party integration with MailCharts.com allows Really Good Emails to give you even more information about the company behind the email that you are viewing, such as the ESP they use and how often they send emails. One thing that I really like is that you can view the email html/css code for those really good emails and the editor is live, so that you can learn by studying the code. Just click the view code button and the editor will open with the complete code.

Really Good Emails also has a great blog, with a lot of great articles covering design trends, B2B emails and more. You will want to check out Feedback Friday, which is a fun part of their blog and YouTube channel, containing special walk-throughs and video interviews.
