Relative Danger
Guest Author - Taisha Turner

Charles Benoit’s first novel, Relative Danger, reviewed by Southeast Asia Travel(SEAT) last year was awarded in the Poison Pen Press ‘Top 2004 First Mysteries’ category. It is now under consideration for the 2004 Best First Novel Award by the Mystery Writers of America.

The novel centers on Douglas Pearce’s exploits while trying to solve the fifty-year-old mystery of his uncle’s murder. Dear Douglas is totally out of his element. He is thrown in far away destinations he only knows from watching old movies. Women out of his league come onto him. Where are the women who shop in the local Kmart?

Where is Doug? One moment he is in Pennsylvania, then Canada, then Morocco. Finally, he is in Singapore. Duh! How he gets there and what happens on the way creates deep belly laughs.

Missed reading the novel last year, now is the time to get a copy and curl up and read Charles Benoit’s Relative Danger. Read about warm climes of which we can only dream about this winter.
