My name is Camille Gizzarelli and I am pleased to be the BellaOnline Editor for the Art Appreciation site. I have an Art History background, and my enthusiasm for art continues to grow with each new experience. I spend a great deal of my time reading about and viewing art. I find it to be a field that is endless in its scope and magnitude, always evolving.
I am the Associate Director of an art gallery on the Seacoast of NH.

I attended college in my youth, but never found an avocation I truly enjoyed until I reached my adult life. I find great enjoyment in art and I hope to share my joys and (sometimes) disappointments with you, my BellaOnline reader.
I think my articles and newsletters are always thought provoking, and sometimes controversial. I appreciate your feedback and encourage you to e-mail me with your thoughts and ideas.

Unrelated to the subject of art, I am active in the field of Breast Cancer. I am on the Board of Directors of Breastcancerstories.com, a free website for men and women going through the cancer experience. This is a place where they can post messages and photos to share with family, friends, and even communicate with others on the site.

I am also a volunteer for the American Cancer Society's "Look Good, Feel Better" program where women going through chemotherapy are given a box of cosmetics (free of charge) and are instructed on how to use these products at home. I find both affiliations to be very rewarding as I am a Breast Cancer survivor and I enjoy "giving back" to the community.

I encourage you to keep an open mind, read my articles, subscribe to my newsletter, but most importantly, make your own decisions on what is good art and what isn't. Don't let an art magazine or periodical decide for you.
