Open Call For Fractal Universe Calendar Contest

Since the first Fractal UniverseR wall calendar was released in the mid 90's, it has been a best seller for Avalanche Publishing, Inc. Each year this calendar is composed from submissions by fractal artists everywhere and the call for submissions for the 2006 calendar is open now and until April 15, 2004. Avalanche Publishing does not accept artwork submissions for the calendar directly. The submission process is supervised by Linda Allison and Tina Oloyede from the project's website called Fractal Forum.

Linda and Tina have the difficult job of choosing the best 200 submissions. The total number of submissions for the 2005 calendar was over 600! They then send these 200 images to Avalanche Publishing where the final 13 images are chosen. The submissions are limited to fractal art only.

If you are interested, you can find more information at the Fractal Forum website. Start by reading the FAQ's which do a good job of answering any questions you might have about the type of images they are looking for, the submission process and how the fractal artists will be compensated for their artwork.

You can also view the winning images that made up the 2004 and 2005 Fractal UniverseR calendars, which will give you a good idea of which of your own fractal art images you might wish to submit. The maximum number of images per submission is 10. The submission process is completed from the Fractal Forum website by filling in a submission form and supplying the URL address for where a zip file of your images may be download. Good Luck To All.
